A job interview is a chance for you to explain why your experience and qualifications make you the most suited for the job. But it is also an opportunity for the interviewers to see if you are able to think creatively and on your feet.  Unusual and weird interview questions give them that opportunity.

Here are some of the more unusual interview questions asked:

  9. “How many planes are currently flying over Kentucky?” – Best Buy 
  10. “If you were the size of a pencil and thrown in to a blender, how would you get out in time?” – Goldman Sachs 
  11. “Rate yourself on a scale of 1 to 10 of how weird you think you are.” – Capital One 
  12. “An apple costs 30 cents, an orange costs 50 cents, and a grapefruit costs 80 cents, how much is a pear?” – Epic Systems 
  13. “What do timber and alcohol have in common?” – Guardsmark 
  14. “How are M&M’s made?” – US Bank 
  15. “What would you do if you just inherited a restaurant from a family member?” – Volkswagen 
  16. “How would you move Mount Everest?” – Microsoft 
  17. “If you saw someone steal. Would you tell someone?” – Amazon 
  18. How many lights are in this entire building? – Monitor Group
